the fine print
(that isn't fine print)
Paper Worlds was built by a dad who wanted another way to play and imagine with his own kids —
not a way to collect anyone's information. When you pay for something here, you're paying what it
actually costs to run the magic. That's the whole business model. These terms exist to keep it that way.

who's agreeing
Paper Worlds is managed by grown-ups. Kids play; a parent or guardian holds the account.
By adding your email, buying anything, or keeping a family world here, you (an adult) agree to
these terms on behalf of your family. If you don't agree, that's okay — but please don't use
Paper Worlds.
what we never do
- No tracking. No analytics trackers, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting, no
profiles. Not for kids, not for parents, not for anyone. Ever.
- No selling or sharing data. Nothing here is ever sold, rented, traded, or handed to
advertisers or data brokers. There's nothing to hand over anyway.
- No ads. Nothing is advertised to your kids, here or in email.
- No kid accounts. Kids are never asked for a name, email, photo of themselves, or
anything else about who they are.
the only things we keep
- The drawings you scan — the cut-out creations that live in your worlds.
- Your 4-letter family code — a random code that isn't connected to any name or identity.
- A parent's email, only if you give it — used solely for the weekly art email, receipts,
and account help. Never for marketing. One tap unsubscribes.
- Anonymous usage counters — how many scans a code used, so the magic stays affordable.
And what never leaves your device: the camera photo itself. It's used once, on your device,
to cut out the drawing — location data and all the rest is never uploaded, and the photo is discarded.
what you may not do
This is the part protecting your family from other people, so we mean it:
- Don't enter, guess, or scan family codes that weren't shared with you.
- Don't use visiting, eggs, or anything else here to contact, monitor, or gather information
about children or families — yours is the only family whose worlds are your business, plus the
friends who invite you.
- Don't send drawings or words to another family's world that you wouldn't hand to their kid
in person.
- Don't scrape, probe, resell, or automate against Paper Worlds.
We can remove content, refuse eggs, and retire codes that break these rules — without warning,
because the kids come first.
your kids' art is yours
Every creation belongs to your family. You give us permission only to store and display it so the
game works — nothing more. You can download your drawings, and you can delete any drawing (or your
whole world) whenever you like: remove it in the app, or reply to any of our emails and we'll wipe
it. Worlds left untouched for a long time get packed away after an in-app warning.
paying for magic
The game is free. Magic — the AI that lifts drawings off the page — costs real money to run, so
it comes in small one-time packs priced to cover that cost. No subscriptions, nothing expires, and
nothing is ever pitched to your kids. If a purchase goes wrong, reply to your receipt and we'll
make it right.
the practical bits
Paper Worlds is a small labor of love, offered as-is — we work hard to keep it running, but we
can't promise it will never hiccup, and we're not liable beyond what you paid for your packs. We
built it to respect COPPA and children's privacy by design. If these terms ever change, the date
above changes and the new version lives right here. Questions, worries, or deletion requests:
