what's coming
Paper Worlds is made by one person and it is not finished. Here is what's being built, honestly — including the bits that aren't ready.
next
give a creation to another family — for keepsvisiting already works: they come over, bring their drawings, take them home again. This is different. You send one of your creations as an egg, it hatches in their world, and it stays there — theirs now. Both grown-ups have to say yes first, because it is the only thing that lets a drawing leave your house for good.

creations that roam between worldsright now a creation lives in the world it was born in. Next it will be able to wander — walk out of the meadow and turn up in the reef, so the worlds stop being separate rooms and start being one place.

draw straight on the iPadfor the times there is no paper in the house. Draw a monster with a finger or a pencil and send it in from the same screen — paper stays the point, but it should never be the thing that stops them.

more worldstwenty-four so far. A rope swing under a big tree, a river, a kitchen and the inside of a bouncy castle went in this month. More keep coming, and they arrive for everyone at once.

they react to youright now they do their own thing whether anyone is watching or not. Next they will notice you — being fed, picked up, given a name — and have something to say about it.
everything here is included. Buying creations once buys the app as it grows — there is no upgrade, no season pass, and nothing gets taken away.
artists
a first name or a nickname for everyone who draws here — grown-ups too. then every creation can be signed with who made it, and the book credits them.
first names or nicknames only — never a surname, and never anything a stranger could use. Names are added here, in the grown-ups menu, and everywhere else you can only pick from this list — so a child can never type their own name into the app. They stay inside your family: a name never travels with a drawing to another world, and a visitor never sees one.
